FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about laser hair removal.

Is laser hair removal painful?

Hair removal with Candela Alexandrite is virtually pain-free thanks to the integrated DCD (Dynamic Cooling Device) cooling system. You feel only a mild snap, far more tolerable than waxing. Cryogen is sprayed on the skin during every pulse for maximum protection and comfort.

How many sessions are needed?

Typically 6–8 sessions, spaced 6–8 weeks apart. The exact number depends on skin type, hair colour and density, and hormonal factors. After the full protocol, 1–2 maintenance sessions per year may be needed.

Is the hair removal permanent?

Yes! Alexandrite laser hair removal achieves permanent hair reduction of 85%+ after the full protocol. Any hairs that may regrow are noticeably finer and sparser.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. The Candela machines we use are FDA-approved (US Food & Drug Administration) and CE-marked. Laser hair removal technology has been used safely for over 20 years. Our certified team ensures correct application at every session.

Which skin types can have laser?

Candela Alexandrite is suitable for all skin phototypes (Fitzpatrick I–VI). Each treatment is adjusted to your skin type and hair characteristics.

What should I do before a session?

Avoid waxing, plucking or any hair removal that pulls the root for 4 weeks before. Shave the area the day before or the morning of your session. Avoid sun exposure or solarium for 2 weeks before. Do not apply creams, perfumes or deodorant on the area.

What should I avoid after a session?

Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks. Use SPF50+ sunscreen if the area is exposed. Moisturise daily with a gentle lotion. Avoid hot baths, saunas and intense exercise for 24–48 hours.

Can it be done on tanned skin?

We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks after your last sun exposure or solarium. Tanned skin has more melanin on the surface, which can reduce effectiveness and increase the risk of irritation.

What is the difference between IPL and Laser?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) emits a broad spectrum of light and is not laser. It is less effective, requires more sessions, and does not deliver permanent results. Alexandrite Laser at 755nm targets hair melanin precisely with greater accuracy and effectiveness.

How much does it cost?

Our prices start from €5 (eyebrows) up to €160 (full body men). We offer 15% discounts on session packages and a 5+1 free package. See the full price list on the Pricing page.
